I'M MELODY.

Hi! I’m Melody. I’m going into 4th grade and I’m in the gifted program at my school. I really love learning new things and helping other kids learn too.

This past year I made A/B Honor Roll, had the highest reading, social studies, and language arts averages in my whole grade, and scored the highest on the MAP (Language Usage) test, Amira reading level, and Georgia Milestones state tests for my grade. I also won my school’s spelling bee two years in a row and got to compete at the district bee both times — that was super exciting! I also was selected to participate in the reading bowl twice.

When I’m not busy with school, I’m a cheerleader, a big sister, and a really good friend. My favorite book right now is Jessi’s Secret Language (The Baby-Sitters Club), and I can’t wait to help other kids fall in love with reading too. That’s why I started The Reading Club this summer — so we can all have fun together, make crafts, and get ready for school to start!
